IMVERSE OPENED ITS INNOVATION CENTER IN RENNES
On the occasion of their technical seminar in Brittany, the members of the Board inaugurated one of their R&D centres in Saint Grégoire near Rennes on 29 November. Daniel Gergès, Director of the Poool / La French Tech Saint Malo, cut the ribbon for the inauguration of the technology company.
Imverse develops Imverse Holo, a live volumetric software. It was in French that Javier Bello Ruiz, CEO based at the group’s headquarters in Switzerland and co-founder of the company with Robin Mange, CTO, welcomed the leaders of Rennes-based tech companies, Breton researchers and investors who had come to attend the event organised by Nicolas Mollet, Director of the Rennes site.

« Degemer mat », it was with these words of welcome symbolically expressed in Breton that Javier Bello-Ruiz welcomed his guests.
Although the working language is English for these Breton, Swiss, Spanish, English and Greek employees, who are mainly based in Saint-Grégoire and Morges near Lausanne, the head of this innovative company emphasised the quality of the Breton ecosystem, which has enabled the management committee to set up an R&D team in Brittany this year and to install its second innovation centre in Rennes.

THESE SWISS ARE WELCOME IN BRITTANY TO DEVELOP TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCTS WITH STRONG INTERNATIONAL POTENTIAL
Imverse is one of the few players in the world with the capacity to film a person live, in 3D, without a green background, and to render its capture to scale in a device (holographic booth, 3D screen, virtual reality or augmented reality headset, virtual reality platform).
This form of « holoportation » is possible thanks to the know-how of the team’s researchers and developers who use voxel technology, pixels in volume which are shaped like small bricks, like « digital logos », and which, when assembled together in the software, restore a 3D image of the person being filmed, all in real time, » explained Javier Bello Ruiz. Daniel Gergès, Director of the Pool / La French Tech Saint-Malo was pleased with the development of the structure within the ecosystem of the Rennes agglomeration, which now has 500 startups and companies that work in synergy and internationally.

Thanks to holographic telepresence, a person captured by depth-of-field cameras can perform actions in a remote or virtual location and participate in virtual corporate events, remote training, L&D sessions, video conferences or virtual meetings.
The company has recently demonstrated its expertise at trade fairs in the USA, Portugal and Germany by teleporting executives live from their homes or offices and having them appear live on stage at international conferences.
